Privacy Policy

The short version

Locker does not collect your data. It has no servers, no account system, and no analytics. Nothing you do in this app leaves your device. Not even your Locker Combo score.

What we collect

Nothing.

Locker has no user accounts, no login, and no network connection of any kind. The app does not transmit data anywhere, because it has nowhere to transmit it to. We do not collect, store, see, sell, or share any personal information, usage data, device identifiers, or analytics.

What stays on your device

Everything the app needs to work is stored locally on your iPhone and never leaves it:

  • Your timetable (your Class, Recess, and Free Period hours, and any field trips)
  • Your daily recess allowance, your balance, and your banked savings
  • Your Backpack and locker choices, stored as opaque Screen Time tokens (more on that below)
  • Your hall passes for the month
  • Your settings and preferences
  • Your Locker Combo progress

This data is held in a private, sandboxed container on your device. If you delete Locker, it is deleted with it. We never have a copy, because we never receive one.

Screen Time (Family Controls)

Locker uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and DeviceActivity frameworks to put apps in your locker on the schedule you set. When you choose which apps go in your Backpack, iOS represents your choices as opaque, privacy-preserving tokens. Apple designed these so that Locker cannot read the names of your apps or see how you use them. The app only knows what you told it to keep out or put away. This information is handled entirely on-device by iOS and is never sent to us.

Locker requests Screen Time authorization for your own individual use. It is not a parental-control or device-management product and does not monitor anyone else.

Notifications

Locker's notifications are scheduled locally on your iPhone, for things like “recess is over”, “your field trip has ended”, or why a recess couldn't start. They are not push notifications, and no server is involved in sending them.

Widgets and Live Activity

Locker's widgets and its Live Activity countdown read the same on-device data through a private App Group shared only between Locker's own app and extensions on your iPhone. Nothing is sent off the device to power them.

Third parties

There are none. Locker includes no advertising networks, no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, and no third-party libraries of any kind.

Children

Locker is safe for all ages, because it collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the date above. If Locker ever begins collecting data, we will say so plainly here before it happens.
