Terms of Use

Last updated: July 22, 2026

The short version

BrickedUp is a free iOS app made by Quest Labs LLC. By downloading or using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use BrickedUp on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal use, in line with these terms and the App Store Terms of Service. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the app except where that restriction is not allowed by law.

What BrickedUp does

BrickedUp uses Apple's Family Controls and Managed Settings frameworks to help you block and budget access to apps on your own device, on the schedule you set. It is a self-control tool for your own individual use. It is not a parental-control or device-management product and is not intended to monitor anyone else.

Your responsibility

BrickedUp is a tool to support the boundaries you choose to set. You are responsible for how you configure and use it, including which apps you allow or block and which hours you keep open. Do not rely on BrickedUp as the sole safeguard for anything safety critical, such as reaching emergency services. Core phone features, messages, and maps are designed to stay available, but you remain responsible for your own access to essential services.

No account, no data

BrickedUp has no accounts and collects no personal data. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Provided “as is”

BrickedUp is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or that it will block every app in every situation, since it depends on iOS and Apple frameworks we do not control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quest Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of BrickedUp. Because the app is free, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for BrickedUp or its content. These terms are between you and Quest Labs LLC. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms, including the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above. Continuing to use BrickedUp after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
