Privacy Policy

The short version

BrickedUp does not collect your data. It has no servers, no account system, and no analytics. Nothing you do in this app leaves your device.

What we collect

Nothing.

BrickedUp has no user accounts, no login, and no network connection of any kind. The app does not transmit data anywhere, because it has nowhere to transmit it to. We do not collect, store, see, sell, or share any personal information, usage data, device identifiers, or analytics.

What stays on your device

Everything the app needs to work is stored locally on your iPhone and never leaves it:

  • Your blocking schedule (your open, soft, and hard hours)
  • Your Smart Time budget and your banked Savings balance
  • Which apps you have chosen to allow or block
  • Your app settings and preferences

This data is held in a private, sandboxed container on your device. If you delete BrickedUp, it is deleted with it. We never have a copy, because we never receive one.

Screen Time (Family Controls)

BrickedUp uses Apple's Family Controls and Managed Settings frameworks to shield apps on your device. When you select which apps to block or allow, iOS represents your choices as opaque, privacy-preserving tokens. Apple designed these so that BrickedUp cannot read the names of your apps or see how you use them. The app only knows what you told it to shield. This information is handled entirely on-device by iOS and is never sent to us.

BrickedUp requests Screen Time authorization for your own individual use. It is not a parental-control or device-management product and does not monitor anyone else.

Third parties

There are none. BrickedUp includes no advertising networks, no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, and no third-party libraries of any kind.

Children

BrickedUp is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages, because it collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the date above. If BrickedUp ever begins collecting data, we will say so plainly here before it happens.
